Rotation 2- Fine Art

Where to begin...
First of all, what I thought to be fine art, I was completely wrong. We got into the class and there were these, to me, these obscene objects placed together to apparently make pieces of art. Again how that can be considered art is far beyond me. But anyway, we were asked to move around these objects and draw them. Well in doing that, if you got to detailed in your work, like I did, you were told you were not listening to the instructions and that your drawing was bad. Then I was pointed out a students work that looked like a 3 year-old drew it and was told that that person got it.
I'm sorry but that just really Peeved me off. I'm not paying ungodly amounts of money to be taught how to draw like a 3 year-old. SO, I did not enjoy the first week of fine art at all.
We are now in the second week of the fine art rotation and this week we have been left to our own devices really and I am enjoying it much more. I'm working with clay and wire to create my sculptures of horses and I haven't been told anything about them. I feel like I've actually been forgotten about in this class, the teacher will come around and speak to the 3 people on my left skip me and another girl and go talk to the people on my right. Giving us no instruction or even a "keep it up." I really have no idea whether I'm doing this project right. I am looking forward to the end of our rotation because that is when we go into 3D spatial design which is what I want to go into. Just gotta hang in there for 2 more weeks!

Fashion and Textiles

Well, we have just finished up our second week with Fashion and Textiles. It was goods and I did lean that was I thought was Fashion was, but there was also VERY many different views of fashion. The ways in which ideas can be sparked from a line drawing or a 3D image is still beyond me! But I did enjoy this rotation.

I am however looking forward to our next rotation which is going to be Fine Art!! This should be a very fun and exciting.

FIRST WEEK

This is a completely different and new experience for me. The course is taught much differently than that of any US courses in College. I am having a great time learning about Fashion and Textiles, which I know that I will be able to use some of this learning in Interior Design which is were I ultimately want to go into.
